Santiago del Estero is the capital of Santiago del Estero Province in northern Argentina. It is about 1,050 miles from Buenos Aires, Argentina. While Santiago del Estero has an airport served by Argentinean Airlines, the best way to travel is to arrive/depart out of the city of Cordoba, Argentina (airport = COR). - What do I need to travel to Argentina? A current passport is the only requirement for entry into Argentia (if you are a US citizen). If you hold a passport from another country please check with your local embassy about the requirements to travel to Argentina.
One change as of January 2010 for those entering Argentina in Buenos Aires at the international airport, EZE. Argentina requires a payment of $131 for entry and termed a visa fee.
